45min Bike Bootcamp
Today I felt tired. I had a rough night of sleep and my anxiety is extra high about leaving the kids for longer than we have ever left before. I spent the day packing and cleaning, and trying to keep my anxiety under control. I escaped for a 45 minute bike bootcamp class around 4:00. It was just what the body and mind needed. I think I am going to wake up extra early for a quick treadmill run. Get my mind ready for a day of travel. More Full Commitment Base Training: HERE More Training Log Posts: HERE Pinterest: HERE

Six Mile Weekday Run!
Six mile morning run! It took me a good three miles to warm up. Well four really if you look at the mile splits. I struggled a little at the beginning, but put together some decent miles in the end. I can’t believe my weekday runs are back up to six miles, that feels like a huge accomplishment. My big win today was that my legs were tired before my lungs. That hasn’t happened in a while. I take that as I’m getting in better shape, but need to step up my recovery game. I told myself that when the mileage grew I would build in recovery time. Meaning I…

Swim Workout & Bike Bootcamp
We spent the morning by the pool before the afternoon storms rolled in. I took advantage of that time. While the kids were playing I alternated between swimming laps and aqua jogging for 30mins. It was a pretty good workout. I’m enjoying being able to throw in some pool workouts here and there. I still wanted to get in some lifting and raise my heart rate a little, so I opted for a 30min Bike Bootcamp class on the peloton app. I have said this a few times before, but I am not only enjoying this current training plan, I am proud of myself for the plan I created. I…

Three Mile Recovery Run
Who knew a bloomin onion from outback for dinner and lunch and donuts for breakfast would leave to a not so great run. Sarcasm check. It was a rough recovery run. It was my fault. Bad nutrition and limited water wasn’t smart on my part. I ran three miles and it felt like twelve. My legs were tight and heavy so I’m glad I did a quick recovery run, my legs will thank me tomorrow. Onto week 7! Still loving this training plan! 7 Mile Long Run. Amazing!
I had the best run this morning. I slowed down and brought water with Skratch in it and sipped on it throughout my run. I kept the pace comfortable and the heart rate relatively low. I only stopped and walked once for less than 20 second. I ran the first 5 miles with no walking breaks. That’s a huge win! I also felt like I could run forever at that pace. I felt very in control, and if I was running with people I could have probably had a conversation the whole time. I don’t know what made this run better. Could be a combination of things. Bringing water with…

Peloton Classes – 30Min Bike & 30 Min Strength for Runners
We went for a nice walk this morning down the trail close to our house, and then had a pretty lazy day. Perfect Friday. Later in the afternoon I snuck out to the garage to get in a workout. Today was a cross training day, and I decided on dedicated bike and strength workouts today. 30Min Bike followed by a 30Min Strength for Runners. It was a good mix. I definitely get a better lifting workout with its own dedicated time; however, I love the bootcamp classes more. They make the workout go by faster. I will probably still switch things up, but for now I will stick to the…

Five Miles – Getting Faster!
Five Miles this morning. I felt pretty good through 4. The last mile was a struggle. But we did it all. New shoes and a B12 shot sure did help the pace. I decided to run by feel and run as long as possible, or at least till the half way turn around point to walk. Aside from a stoplight in the first mile I succeed. I ran the first 2.5 miles at a decent pace, then walk/ran for a half mile. I tried to push the final two miles again today. I struggled a little with this. The paces show I pushed it a little, but I had more…

Off Day & B12 Shot
Off day today! I was able to get in a short walk earlier with the kids. I changed my rest day to today, because of the results of my doctors appointment. I had bloodwork done a few weeks ago and got the results back today. It showed I was deficient in b12. I received a supplemental b12 shot this afternoon and am starting my vitamin tablets tomorrow. I wanted to give the shot at least 12 hours to set in before I did any type of workout. I will resume with my run tomorrow morning and push my cross training to Friday. Awesome Five Miles & A Terrible Day!
Today ended up being a total disaster. The only thing that went well was my five mile run this morning. I started strong, took it easier for mile 2 and 3 and then tried to push it a little for mile 4 and 5. It ended up feeling really good. I did still take some walk breaks but only about 20seconds each. Most of the walking breaks are mental I think. My heart rate isn’t spiking too high. I will say today my legs were a little sore. I am ready for my new shoes to arrive tomorrow. Most of my runs are on the sidewalk and pavement, my legs…

45min Bootcamp & Starting Speed Work!
We had a rough morning this morning. Everyone seemed to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. We ate some quick breakfast and headed to my parents house to hang out by the pool. It was just what we all needed. The result. A double nap and happier children. I was able to sneak in a workout before the storm came in. I went back and forth between a 45min or 60min Bike Bootcamp. I went with a 45min Bootcamp, it is the perfect amount of time. The Peloton class I did this time I loved. The music was great! I felt so good after that I decided…
