Lauren’s Training Log: May 2nd – May 15th, 2022
Monday May 2nd, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! I felt strong for the first mile, it was hot and the loop I did was super boring. Need to change up the loop and start running in the morning. Overall I’m feeling stronger! Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! I ran early but it was already hot and humid. Felt like you were running and making no progress. More walking on this run, but glad I got out there and went the 2 miles instead of cutting it short! Wednesday May 4th, 2022 80 Ounces…

Lauren’s Training Log: April 25th – May 1st, 2022
Best Self Challenge Week 4 April 25th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Run felt really strong again. The shorter runs are starting to feel very easy now, which is welcomed. Feeling your body get back into shape for the first time in a very long time is a great feeling. Keeping this week easy to let my body recover a little. My Garmin watch is showing that my body isn’t fully recovering. I don’t fully trust the data, but I do know that stress is high and sleep is low, taking it easy is probably smart this week! April 26th, 2022 80 Ounces…

Best Self Challenge Week 3 April 18th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Holy muggy. Run was rough, but got it done! April 19th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! I felt strong! If I was paying attention to my watch I would have run the extra 0.05 miles and gotten a new 5k training cycle PR. It feels good to be lowering the pace and things still feeling comfortable. I did end the day with a pretty bad headache, which is either because I’m limiting sugar intake or because I’m not eating enough food. I’m going to…

April 16th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Welp. Diet got the best of me. I still got out and ran a little under a mile and a half this afternoon, but wow was it hard. I guess candy and pizza don’t mix with a great run. I did hit my running and water goal though so it’s a win! Hoping tomorrow is better! Let the challenge continue! April 15th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Today was TERRIBLE! I challenged myself to run more than a mile today, challenge accepted and completed. However, I ate a huge sandwich and drank a large coke and felt terrible! Strong reminder that I need to get my diet in check if I want to keep this challenge up! Again, I am proud of myself for getting out there and stepping up the challenge a little bit when I didn’t feel like it at all. We have had some toddler sleep struggles over the past few weeks, and extra bad the last three days. Still…

April 14th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Strength workout. Check! It was hot and muggy out! And another night of very little sleep. I kept the run short again and the strength workout to a very short bodyweight workout. It felt really good to stay consistent even when everything around you was telling you to not do anything. I’m loving the feeling of accomplishing a task for myself each day. I can also feel the difference of consistent water intake. I usually drink a decent amount of water, but it’s always seems to be an every other day type of thing. The consistency…

April 13th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! This is what my watch told me when I woke up this morning. Not what I was going for. A teething child called for a VERY long sleepless night. I kept it simple today. Went on a long walk with the kids to the zoo and then ran a simple mile at night. I’ve been feeling really good! Even with no sleep I felt like I still had some energy today and my mental health stayed strong. That’s a win for me! Let the challenge continue! April 12th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! I wasn’t feeling motivated today, but decided it was time to challenge myself a little bit. I did the same 5k loop I did the other day. It felt so good to push pass the thoughts of doing the minimum and running a little longer and faster. My watch told me I hit a new recent 5k record. I reset the records to this new challenge to give myself some excitement while I’m getting back into shape! Let the challenge continue! More HERE More Journal Posts HERE Pinterest Board HERE

April 11th, 2022 Drank 80 Ounces of Water Ran at least One Mile I have taken out the tracking of fasting blood sugar every morning and instead will be doing it once a week.
