My Active Rest Day for the Week! 

I took today extra slow. We didn’t get back until around 11pm after a long travel day. Back to back nights with little sleep, plus bad nutrition and dehydration my body isn’t feeling great. I’m trying to give myself some grace and know that one weekend isn’t going to derail the work I have put in. 

I kept today to a slow 30min bike ride. I kept it super easy. I wanted to get the body moving, but not kill myself until I have time to recovery when some sleep and water. 

My Active Rest Day for the Week Stats!

I am going to spend a few minutes tonight reworking my training plan. I want to shift and change to a distance training plan. Mentally I think I’m ready to get past the base training phase… but still continue to slowly build base and speed. If that makes any sense. After 7 weeks I’m ready to change things up! I am going to have Monday as my new off day so this is the perfect time to shift. 

I’m am happy that after a not so great weekend, I’m not derailed or overly disappointed in myself. I’m motivated and also proud that I enjoyed the moment without over stressing about anything.
