Lauren’s Training Log: July 19th-July 25th, 2021
Last Weeks Training Log All Previous Training Logs This week had a few more downs than up, but it was another semi-solid week of training. One thing I am proud of is that when I took some unplanned time off I didn’t just stop all training for the week. In the past I would have just called it quits and started fresh again on Monday of the next week. I had two solid days of training on Monday and Tuesday, then I know I didn’t fuel or hydrate correctly after. This led to feeling dead on Wednesday. I decided to try out a quick lift and stopped halfway into it,…

Lauren’s Training Log: July 12th – July 18th, 2021
Last Weeks Training Log All Past Training Logs Training this week had both positives and negatives. Overall it was another solid week and I am still loving my training and the slow build up of endurance. The strength training program that I am following has made adding in lifting so much more enjoyable, and I actually look forward to it! It is basic and simple, and I like that. I am also enjoying keeping it the same week after week, I can see myself progressing and really noticing myself getting stronger. Progressive Overload is not something to be overlooked. I am using it in both my strength and my running…

Lauren’s Training Log: July 5th – July 11th, 2021
Last Weeks Training Log All Training Logs Another great week of training. I do have to keep repeating to myself to enjoy the small wins and the slow journey it will all pay off. The slower pace has allowed me to enjoy my runs and my body to slowly adapt to more consistent training. I really am enjoying my training. I can feel endurance growing and can feel myself getting stronger. I also think I have found my pre and post workout routine. Fueling before and after is so important especially as I start to add in more running and lifting heavier weights. Generation UCAN has been amazing, I am…

Lauren Training Log: June 28th – July 4th, 2021
Last Weeks Training Log All Training Logs Another great week of training. I can feel myself getting some endurance back. It is still humbling to run so slow, but I understand that reasoning and I can see it helping. I am still very excited about future training. Only minor issue this week is that my lower legs and shins have been more sore than usually. I think this is due to doing most of my miles on a treadmill that is older. I am currently researching new treadmills with better cushioning. Monday, June 28th: Walk 3 Miles & Run/Walk 3 Miles (HR under 150) Tuesday, June 29th: Walk 4 Miles…

Lauren’s Training Log: June 21st – June 27th, 2021
Last Weeks Training Log I feel better about this week of training than I have since 2017. That is so crazy to say. I hope I can keep riding this momentum and keep my paces and effort level in check. I slowed everything down this week. Slower paces, lower heart rate, less sets, lower reps, lower weights. I am getting back to the basics. It feels good to not feel completely dead like I cannot possibly do another workout. I am going to slowly pick things up as the week progress. Feeling strong and confident this week. Monday, June 21st: Walk 3 Miles & Run/Walk 3Miles (HR under 150) &…

Wednesday, June 2nd: 4.5 Mile Walk & 40 Min Peloton Upper Body Strength Class. The walk was great, the strength class was a little too beginner level.
