Week 7 Recap and Getting My Life Back Together!

Wow, it’s been a whirlwind of a few days. Mostly fun, but very tiring. This will be a getting my life back together post and a week 7 recap.

Things have been crazy for a week or two but ended up getting extra crazy. It started Tuesday morning at 4:15am, I ran 4.5 miles on the treadmill. Felt great, but can tell my treadmill is still tilting to the right. The whole right side of my body was screaming for most of the day.

We then got into the car around 10ish and drove to Disney. We stayed at a Disney resort for two night. Result was a lot of fun, relaxing, and sleep struggles with one small toddler. Overall though we had a blast!

I had a planned off day on Wednesday, so I could enjoy the day fully with the kids and my sister.

The plan was to run when I got back on Thursday, but I was exhausted and decided my body needed a little rest and early bedtime. That’s exactly what I did!

I had planned to run on Friday afternoon. We ended up going to the beach and staying a little longer than expected. A lot of sun, minimal water, and a couple slices of pizza later I decided a run would be more painful than it was worth.

I got my act back together on Saturday. I woke up and got in a six mile run. Kept things slow and steady, with a few walk breaks. I felt pretty strong and the miles flew by!

Sunday morning started with a four mile run. Mile 1, 2 and 4 I did little pick ups in and mile 3 was slow and controlled. It was a great run.

Long Run Fuel. Coffee and Pop-tarts!

Week 7 Recap:

Monday: 2 Mile Run

Tuesday: 4.5 Mile Run

Wednesday: Off – Long Walk

Thursday: Off

Friday: Off

Saturday: 6 Mile Run

Sunday: 4 Mile Run

Overall I’m a little disappointed in this week. Life has been crazy with a mix of stress, and I’m craving routine. I’m going back to a simple diet for a week or two to get back to a baseline. Part to better absorb my next B12 injection, and part to get back into better habits to get back on track.

Next week I’m ready to get back on track! Back into solid runs, with speed bursts, and back to lifting!

Positive from this week. I stayed consistent. It really is more about consistency than the actual work. It’s been a longggg time since I have stayed this consistent and my life has changed so much for the better.
