Solid Tempo Run

Solid Morning Tempo Run. I felt good today. I went back to the basics of peanut butter toast and water with electrolytes for breakfast. It was perfect and I don’t know why I have been trying anything different. I did a Warm Up for 7:30, 15min Tempo Run and a Cool Down for a little over 7:30. I struggled a little bit with pace again, but I am getting way better.

Solid Tempo Run Stats

Last week (Post HERE) my tempo pace was 8:56/Mile and this week it was 8:43/Mile. It started to feel a little painful in the same last two minutes. I call that a win. This week definitely felt easier. I felt strong. With running last night I thought I might feel tired or sore this morning, but I felt refreshed and ready to go.

I ended the night with a quick lift. I did the lift I was supposed to do after my speed work on Tuesday. All the basic compound lifts. Squats, Bench Press, and Deadlifts. Short, Sweet and to the point! Last week I could tell I felt stronger even after one workout. I am excited to keep this workout going with some progressive overload of increases weight!
