No Voice and Urgent Care
Welp the long run today didn’t happen. I officially have no voice, which I think is from stress and not from getting or being sick.
I started losing my voice yesterday and it’s pretty much completely gone this morning. My poor toddler woke up feeling worse than the last few days. Instead of a run I took him for a long walk so he could take a nap in the stroller. I was planning to get my long run in a little later in the day.
When my toddler woke up from his nap he was grabbing at his ears. Off to urgent care we went. Ended with a double ear infection. Once we got the meds, and made our way home, I decided cuddles with my sick toddler were more important than a long run today.
I’m a little disappointed that I have had to make so many adjustments in my training plan lately. With that said, I can still feel the training working. Consistency really is key.
Now I’m drinking some green tea with honey. Crossing my fingers it works magic and I can do my long run tomorrow.
