Lauren Training Log: June 28th – July 4th, 2021
Another great week of training. I can feel myself getting some endurance back. It is still humbling to run so slow, but I understand that reasoning and I can see it helping. I am still very excited about future training.
Only minor issue this week is that my lower legs and shins have been more sore than usually. I think this is due to doing most of my miles on a treadmill that is older. I am currently researching new treadmills with better cushioning.
Monday, June 28th: Walk 3 Miles & Run/Walk 3 Miles (HR under 150)
Tuesday, June 29th: Walk 4 Miles & Strength Training (Lower Body) & Pelvic Floor Abs
Wednesday, June 30th: Walk 3.5 Miles & Run/Walk 3.5 Miles (HR under 150)
Thursday, July 1st: 1 Mile Warm-Up Run & Strength Training (Upper Body)
Friday, July 2nd: Walk 3 Miles & Run/Walk 3 Miles
Saturday, July 3rd: Off
Sunday, July 4th: Long Run 4 Miles (Time Over 10min Mile Pace). Cut the run a little shorter than planned. Dehydrated and my shins were a little sore so I didn’t want to push it to much. Overall I still felt great!
Happy July 4th! I am again very excited about heading into another week of training. Really enjoying slowing things down and feeling recovered while also feeling the slow progress! BUT also itching to speed things up soon!
