Four Mile Long Run

I ran in daylight again today. I had a slow and easy four miles. Stating to build back up my long runs. I went out around 7:30am and it was already pretty hot and humid. I tried my best to keep my heart rate as low as I could. The last mile it was too high, but I was struggling to keep the pace slow without walking.

I don’t think people talk enough about how hard running easy is. HR training is a little more mentally challenging than I was expecting. I’ve been trying to pay closer attention to my heart rate on easy days. My paces are substantially slower because of this. The heat and humidity plays a bigger factor than I expected.
