Week 10 Recap. Sad New.
This week was kind of a bust. My ankle and lower right leg have been acting up a little bit over the course of last week. I would feel the pain slightly when I was running, but a lot more when I was just sitting. It was an achy feeling. I am hoping it is not achilles tendonitis. I decided to let it rest this week in hopes that I can get back up to solid running next week. We close on our new house on Wednesday and start renovations over the weekend. We will hopefully move in at the end of May. I am going to need running to keep…

Week 9 Recap!
My week 9 recap, running went great this week! I started the week off strong, then hit a little slump, but managed to finish extra strong. While I did great with the running, I didn’t do so great with the strength training. It is like I know it is important, but if I am short on time I would rather run. Next week I need to be way better. Week 9 Recap: Killed it on the running. Failed on the lifting! Monday: 5 Miles with Speed work. I did a 2 mile warm up, then 400 meters at 8:34 pace, 400 meter jog, 800 meters at 8:00 pace and 800…

Week 7 Recap and Getting My Life Back Together!
Wow, it’s been a whirlwind of a few days. Mostly fun, but very tiring. This will be a getting my life back together post and a week 7 recap. Things have been crazy for a week or two but ended up getting extra crazy. It started Tuesday morning at 4:15am, I ran 4.5 miles on the treadmill. Felt great, but can tell my treadmill is still tilting to the right. The whole right side of my body was screaming for most of the day. We then got into the car around 10ish and drove to Disney. We stayed at a Disney resort for two night. Result was a lot of fun,…

Fun Filled Day
Today was long but a fun filled day! We started with a preschool class and then headed right to the zoo. Things are crazy busy this week because of Spring Break for our local school district and a ton of travelers and tourist in the area. Even though it was crowded we had a blast! It’s always so nice to get out of the house and do some activities and let the kids run! We will all sleep good tonight. The weather was also perfect. Mid-70s and sunny. It was one of those days that you just had to be outside! After dinner I snuck out for a three mile…

Rainy Day and Daylight Savings
We are struggling over here! Between daylight savings time and a rainy day, we are all bored and cranky! It’s been the first bad weather day we have had in a long time. Didn’t realize just how much being outside in the sun really helps us throughout the day. We watched a lot of movies and played a lot cars. After the kids went to bed I was able to sneak out and run four miles on the treadmill. No one is more surprised than me that I got this run in. I was running all the scenarios in my head for how I could take today off and still…

Week 5 Recap
We had visitors and things got busy, but I miss the consistent journal entry posts! I like going back and looking at them! Daily blogging will start again next week! Life Training Recap First: Training has been going pretty good. Life stressors and increasing mileage I can tell my body is tires. I need to step up my nutrition game, which is constant battle for me. I also need to do way better on water in take. Things are starting to heat up here in Florida. We went through a mini winter heat wave, both the heat and humidity were high Abs my body is still dehydrated! Overall though this…

Week 4 Recap!
Week 4 Recap! This week was a very solid week of training. It took some patience not to run too fast and keep things easy. My body is adapting to the slow increase of mileage and I love it. I just keep feeling better and better. Monday: 3 Miles & Lift Tuesday: 3 Miles Wednesday: off Thursday: 3 Miles & Lift Friday: 2.5 Miles Saturday: 4.5 Miles Sunday: 2 miles and Pelvic Floor Abs TOTAL: 18 Miles This training plan really is perfect for me. It is a slow build and has room for flexibility, which is ideal because life with two toddlers is crazy! Overall I’m excited with where…

Slow Morning and Three Mile Run
Started today out with a slow morning, and ended with a three mile run. I decided that I wanted to run outside for my three miles today. Get some extra sunshine! If I want to run outside I have to wait until the afternoon. Oh toddler life. We started the morning with coffee and some Thomas. It’s a a nice relaxing morning. Then we headed to pre-school class! Perk of visitors my youngest got to stay home and play, and I got to enjoy a second cup of coffee kid free! After class we headed to spend a few hours at the zoo! Spend a few hours relaxing and hydrating…
