Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W2D1
Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W2D1 I knew today was going to be busy so I got out first thing for a mile. It felt good and was a nice way to start the stressful day of moving! Things went pretty smoothly today. Got the keys and moved a few things! Crossing my fingers and toes and saying all the prayers that this rental works out until we purchase a house. After a long day, we took the kids on a walk to get the youngest to fall asleep. It was a great way to end the day. Even though my diet has been off and my…

Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D7 Today started off great! Got in a quick run. I only wanted to do one mile today to let my body recovery a little before all the moving. I did a stroller run, ran a mile out from the house and walked home. It was a great way to start the morning and the kids loved it. I will definitely keep doing more stroller runs. They are hard and there is a lot more walking involved, but it is worth it to get outside and off the treadmill! The day ended stressful. Hoping tomorrow I can keep it together and bust…

Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D6
Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D6 Did a nice 2 mile run outside, along with a lift. My first mile felt strong and I had a nice breeze, the second mile was rough, no wind and it was very hot. I followed up the run with an upper body pull workout and some pelvic floor abs. Ended the week with three main lifts. Not what I hoped for, but looking back I’m proud of that. Tomorrow is a push to finish packing before the actual moving next week. I will hopefully get in a quick morning fun, and leave the lifting to moving boxes! Can’t believe we…

Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D5
Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D5 Morning stroller run today! It was awesome, and holy hard! These kids are getting heavy and the wheels on the stroller were a little flat, but overall I’m so glad I got out this morning. I went 2.3 miles with a 1min walk 1min run, and a little stop at the park after mile run to let the kids run around. We had a blast and will be doing this more often! First step pump up the tires! I then skipped another lifting session tonight, to have frozen margaritas instead and I have no regrets. I do need to get back…

Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D4
Journey to Health & Happiness W1D4 Today was another rough day. Nutrition was terrible, and to be honest it was for no reason other than I used stress as an excuse. I am tried and stressed, but that shouldn’t be an excuse! I did stick to my challenge commitments though. 1.5 Mile Run, 2 Mile Walk and over 80 Ounces of water. So overall it was a win. Back to lifting tomorrow, and getting my nutrition in check! Moving on to Day 5. Very happy that I decided to start this little challenge again, it is keeping me accountable to sane! Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D3
Journey to Health & Happiness W1D3 Today was a packing morning. The house is almost all packed and movers have been scheduled. Some stress is now off. One week from today until movers come. Here’s to moving solo. The universe is really just throwing all kinds of things at us. I did a lot of stress eating today, so I went for a slow one mile run and a morning and evening walk with the kids. Kept it simple because my stomach was not having it. Need to do better tomorrow. The run this time felt smooth though so that’s a positive! Below and HERE is the Lower Body Workout…

Lauren’s Journal – Journey to Health & Happiness W1D2
Journey to Health & Happiness W1D2 Today was ROUGH. The logistics of moving are falling into place and with that comes extra stress for me. I am trying to stay in a good mindset and remember that it will all workout. We have moved a lot, I am ready to not move for a while! Feeling very unsettled. This is exactly why I started this challenge again, running and lifting help so much. Along with documenting the journey. The act of physical activity keeps me mentally sane and the documenting keeps me accountable. It’s harder to just skip a workout. I know I am at a point that if I…

Journey to Health & Happiness: W1D1 Starting another mini challenge again today! We are moving again (which is crazier than crazy), the last time I did this a month or so ago it really helped with keeping me sane during the moving process. I’m excited to get back into it. I’m going to try for six full weeks this time and assess where I am after that period. Today I took the time to write a full training plan. I’m excited for a weight training plan with progressive overload and a running program that will hopefully bring progression. I have been working out consistently, but not following any specific plan.…

Lauren’s Journal: Best Self Challenge: W2D6
April 16th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Welp. Diet got the best of me. I still got out and ran a little under a mile and a half this afternoon, but wow was it hard. I guess candy and pizza don’t mix with a great run. I did hit my running and water goal though so it’s a win! Hoping tomorrow is better! Let the challenge continue! Lauren’s Journal: Best Self Challenge: W2D5
April 15th, 2022 80 Ounces of water. Check! Run at least one mile. Check! Today was TERRIBLE! I challenged myself to run more than a mile today, challenge accepted and completed. However, I ate a huge sandwich and drank a large coke and felt terrible! Strong reminder that I need to get my diet in check if I want to keep this challenge up! Again, I am proud of myself for getting out there and stepping up the challenge a little bit when I didn’t feel like it at all. We have had some toddler sleep struggles over the past few weeks, and extra bad the last three days. Still…
