Last Minute Changes. Speed work and after bedtime struggle bus.
I took yesterday off. First day of solo parenting and a full schedule change. I just didn’t plan right and was exhausted.
We had a last minute doctors appointment change for my youngest at 8:30 a little over a half hour away. I wanted to make sure I got my speed work in, but still have time to shower, look presentable and be alert as this is an important appointment. I also wanted enough time to not have to rush the kids!

With all that said. I got up at 4:30 did my workout. Then opted to get in a actual shower and silent cup of coffee while the kids were still sleeping. 4×400 with 400 recovery. Paces were 7:30, 7:19, 7:08, 6:58. Felt Strong!
We then headed to the appointment.
Appointments with toddlers are always physically and mentally exhausting!
