Week 10 Recap. Sad New.

This week was kind of a bust. My ankle and lower right leg have been acting up a little bit over the course of last week. I would feel the pain slightly when I was running, but a lot more when I was just sitting. It was an achy feeling. I am hoping it is not achilles tendonitis.

I decided to let it rest this week in hopes that I can get back up to solid running next week. We close on our new house on Wednesday and start renovations over the weekend. We will hopefully move in at the end of May. I am going to need running to keep myself mentally in check during this time!

I have taken things kind of lightly. I have also done a lot of wearing compression socks, massage gun, and warm baths. It feels about 50% better. This week will also be about listening to my body, which if we are being honest, I am not excited about! Ha!

Week 10 Recap!

Week 10 Recap:

Monday – 1 Mile Treadmill Run & 15min Peloton Strength Class

Tuesday – Off

Wednesday – Easy Run: 3 Miles on Treadmill

Thursday – 30min Bike

Friday – Off

Saturday – Long Walk

Sunday – Easy Run: 3 Mile run/walk

TOTAL – 7 Miles. (Lots of recovery)

I think the overall life stress and a toddler sleep regression have added way more stress on my body than I accounted for. Frustrated, because I know better. But proud of myself for catching it relatively early and listening to my body (even though I don’t want to!!)

I need to do a better job of tracking all biofeedback with my training logs.

Moving forward I’m going to do a couple weeks at week 9 mileage and see if my body can handle that load before I jump back into the base training increasing mileage plan. Will probably wait until we have moved into the new house to start increasing mileage again!

With all that said. I’m back to daily blogging this week. I’m going to try and keep this a daily thing until we move. Adding something else to my plate might seem crazy, but I think the outlet of something else to focus on will be great. It will also keep me accountable for my workouts! It will also be fun to have this to look back on!
