Week 3 Recap!

Saying things have been a struggle would be a massive understatement. 

Our house was hit with the crazy virus that has been going around. We are on week two of stuffy noses, uncontrollable coughing, and on and off sore throats. We are all annoyed and grumpy. 

Week 2 Recap. Struggle City. Green Shake
Green Smoothie to try and get all the health back. It did nothing.

I went back and forth so many times on if I stick to my training or take extra rest. I moved around some miles last week and took a few extra rest days when the sore throat was bad. Then listened to my body and was able to make up the mileage at a slower than easy pace. 

Things then got worse with my cough, and I couldn’t decide if it was because I ran. So I took some more rest days. 

So to recap this week. It was a struggle!

Weekly Breakdown

Monday – Off

Tuesday – Off 

Wednesday – 2.5 Treadmill Run 

Thursday –  1.5 Mile Walk 

Friday – 1.75 Mile Walk & 2.5 Mile Treadmill Run

Saturday – Off

Sunday – 4 mile run 

Total: 9 Miles Run. Half of what my training plan had. Listened to the body and will rework the plan a little to meet me where I am. 

In things I should have done. I should have lifted and continued my pelvic floor plan. I am disappointed in myself for not getting in any lifts or core work. That will be a main focus next week. I might even make myself lift before runs to make sure I get the lifts in! 

This week was supposed to be 18 miles and next week was a down week of 13.5. I’m going to flip the weeks and count this week as my down week and next week do the 18 mile. Then continue to build from there.
