Will the sickness ever end!

I have found myself saying multiple times a day for the last few weeks, will the sickness ever end? 

I have been lucky and only have a slightly dry throat. Hopefully it stays that way. I am however behind on sleep and recovery. Two sick toddlers is no joke! 

On the training plan today was a 45 minute run with 20min at tempo pace. I had high hopes for a slightly faster tempo than last week. The weather is perfect for a fast workout. 

I decided that stress is high, sleep is at a minimum and everyone around me is sick. I’ll take my short walk with the kids as my workout and call it a day. 

I am still amazed at how my body has adapted to more heart rate style training

I’m disappointed but I know this is the smart choice. If I get sleep tonight and still feel good in the morning I’ll sneak out for my tempo or an easy run first thing.
