Lauren’s Training Log: May 31st – June 6th, 2021
Monday, May 31st: 5 Mile Walk
Tuesday, June 1st: Treadmill Walk/Run (20Min – 1.63 Miles) – Felt Strong. Running is getting more comfortable. This Run/Walk actually felt easy.
Wednesday, June 2nd: 4.5 Mile Walk & 40 Min Peloton Upper Body Strength Class. The walk was great, the strength class was a little too beginner level. Going to go back to writing my own strength workouts. But it was nice to get a dumbbell workout during the afternoon.
Thursday, June 3rd: 4.39 Mile Walk and Treadmill Run/Walk (20Min – 1.78) – Ran a little longer and faster than Tuesday. Felt a little defeated from the day but the run felt strong and I am glad I completed it!
Friday, June 4th 2.25 Mile Walk and 1 Mile Treadmill Run. Tried a new walking trail, wasn’t as long as anticipated. Finished the day with a walk/run mile on the treadmill. My legs were feeling the increase in activity from the week.
Saturday, June 5th: Kept it simple and easy to give the legs a break. Went for a 3.5 Mile easy walk with the family!
Sunday, June 6th: 1 Mike walk before the heat (Forgot the headphones and pacifier, kept it short and sweet!). Kept it simple today to give the body a break. Going to up the intensity of both running and lifting next week!
Blood Sugar Update: Diet has been about 90% good. During the week things have been great, but the weekends are harder to commit. My blood sugar levels are good after meals, higher than I would like but still in the normal range. My fasting levels are all still high. Getting lower each morning but still in the prediabetes range. I go to the doctor June 11th hopefully we can do full blood work to see what else is going on.
