Journey to Health & Happiness W1D2

Today was ROUGH. The logistics of moving are falling into place and with that comes extra stress for me. I am trying to stay in a good mindset and remember that it will all workout. We have moved a lot, I am ready to not move for a while! Feeling very unsettled. 

This is exactly why I started this challenge again, running and lifting help so much. Along with documenting the journey. The act of physical activity keeps me mentally sane and the documenting keeps me accountable. It’s harder to just skip a workout. I know I am at a point that if I skip one it will be very hard to get back on track. Hoping to get through this move without losing any of the fitness I have tried so hard to gain! 

Journey to Health & Happiness W1D2 - Garmin Workout

This morning I went for a two mile walk with the kids. Then in the early evening I went for a slow one mile run and then did an upper body push lifting workout. My runs have been feeling harder the last few weeks, I think part of that is stress, and part is the weather. My times slow drastically when it’s hot and humid. I wanted to go longer today, but with almost no sleep and a tough mental health day I thought another day of just one mile was best.

Both nutrition and water were good today too! Win! I’m striving for perfection with nutrition just being mindful of stress eating while still allowing some treats!
