Operation Fast 5k Round 2

I am back to operation fast 5k. This will be operation fast 5k round 2!

A few days ago I did a 5k time trial. It wasn’t a true test, but it did give a solid starting point. I went early in the morning and fasted, but I will take it.

I have a huge goal to take a lot of time off of that initial time! I am excited about the grind. My current plan is to do seven weeks of training. Another 5k Time Trial. One down week. Then find a race either six or seven weeks out and give it my all! My goals are lofty and I think will take more than a couple training cycles, but two before a goal race is perfect for me I think. After the first initial training blocks I am going to hopefully start racing more!

Now onto Day 1!

Start of Day 1 was rough! I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I didn’t sleep great and woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and a swollen eye. Fun. I know it’s all allergies and saw dust from living in a remodel but at the 4:30am hour it’s easy to almost convince yourself you are sick and should stay in bed. Ha!

This is the start of yet another training plan. I used to be embarrassed of starting and stopping and “starting over” however this time around with my running I have stayed consistent even if something has pulled me from a training plan.

With all that said. I’m ready to race. To be honest I’m ready to compete! I miss the competition and that different type of runners high you get!

Hoping to keep my mindset of finish this training plan at all costs (while staying smart obviously, just no lame excuses!)

Day 1 Operation Fast 5k

There is nothing better than getting in a full workout before the sun comes up.

After my workout I headed to the chiropractor. Things are definitely coming together and I am so glad I decided to take on the time commitment to do this treatment plan! (Recaps Here!)

Disney World Magic Kingdom

After the chiropractor, we headed to Disney World! Magic Kingdom for the day!
