7 Mile Long Run. Amazing!

I had the best run this morning. I slowed down and brought water with Skratch in it and sipped on it throughout my run.

I kept the pace comfortable and the heart rate relatively low. I only stopped and walked once for less than 20 second. I ran the first 5 miles with no walking breaks. That’s a huge win! I also felt like I could run forever at that pace. I felt very in control, and if I was running with people I could have probably had a conversation the whole time. 

I don’t know what made this run better. Could be a combination of things. Bringing water with fuel, the breakfast and water I had before, the b12 shot and vitamin I have been taking, my iron levels are finally good, slowing down my pace, new shoes. The list could probably be even longer. No matter what it was I’ll take it and ride the high for the rest of the day! 

There is something so satisfying when your training clicks. This training plan I have written for myself has been perfect for me. I couldn’t be happier with it. Perfect mix of running, cross training and lifting. Has the ability to be moved around a bit of life happens, and most importantly I don’t feel burnt out, or overly sore. Perfect.
