Five Tips to Stay Motivated!
Staying Motivated can seem complicated, but it is something very simple. Below are five tips that will help with getting and staying motivated.
- Set Measurable Goals. Make sure the goals are achievable, simple, and most importantly measurable. An example of this would be: Add Strength Training Twice a Week. This is measurable, and simple to achieve.
- Find your Why. This does not need to be anything profound and can be something rather simple. You will be surprised how easy it is to find the discipline and motivation to check off all training plan workouts when you are working to something that is important to you. An Example of a why could be: Getting in Shape to Keep Up with My Kids or Training to Stay Healthy in the Long Term.
- Keep a Training Log. When you write down a summary of your workouts you are much more likely to stick with the plan. The log will also allow you to look back and see how far you have come.
- Make is FUN. Find a workout or routine that you truly enjoy. Do not force something because other people thing its best. The best type of exercise is the one that you can stay consistent with.
- Get a Coach! Having the accountability of checking in can be the push that you need. Weekly check-ins and the ability to reach out when a little extra motivation is needed usually translates to meeting your goals! (Want to test out a coach? Reach out Here! A lot of people say that discipline is needed and motivation will come and go. This is true; however, motivation will help in you creating habits.
Once you are on the path of creating habits, motivation will be something that is less and less needed. Habits come with built in discipline. Habits become just a way of life!
