Lauren’s Training Log: June 14th – June 20th, 2021
Below you will find my training log. This is my recap of the week. Brief overview of what I did and how I felt.
Monday, June 14th: 3-Mile Walk & Circuits (1 Mile Run, Lift – 4×10,8,6,4 Squat & Superset: 2×6 Step-Ups & Split Squats), 15Min Peloton Spin Ride
Tuesday, June 15th: 2.5 Mile Run
Wednesday, June 16th: 4.3 Mile Walk
Thursday, June 17th: 3 Mile Walk
Friday, June 18th: Run 1.5 Miles – Stopped early because my legs were dead and screaming to stop. Felt very tired the rest of the day.
Saturday, June 19th: Off Day – Letting my body rest.
Sunday, June 20th: I went back and forth all day wanting to workout, but knew my legs and body just felt tired. Decided another off-day and extra water was best.
Blood Sugar Update: Blood work came back. A1c was within normal range but on the high side. Part good news part I need to keep working news. I need to keep working at lowering my levels to keep the risk of being prediabetic down. Still testing my fasting levels and after certain high carb meals to test my diet. I am still looking into trying a continuous glucose monitor, might do that in a few months.
Work on for next week: I need to do a better job at easy days vs hard days and realize that as I am getting back into shape hard days look different than they used to. I am going to start logging more time on the spin bike to give the legs time to recover from running!
